Our Coaches
Coach Wade
Brown belt, 8 years training
From his first day on the mats in 2018, Wade has obsessively pursued an analytical approach to Jiu Jitsu.
A professional competitor on the Australian super fight circuit, Wade is known for a clinical, wedge-based style that negates athleticism in favour of structured control. By blending the methodologies of John Danaher and Gordon Ryan with insights gained training across Australia and his own experimentation, Wade teaches a clear and systemised approach to grappling.
With experience coaching both kids and adults over the last 7 years, he is dedicated to stripping away the chaos of grappling and equipping his students with high percentage systems that guide them to submission.
Coach Joey
Purple belt, 5 years training
A movement-based specialist and Pan Pacific Champion, Joey thrives in the scramble. He has spent the past five years coaching Jiu Jitsu, developing a creative style that he now shares with both kids and adult students.
His competitive resume includes professional invitational wins and a reputation for an innovative approach to the game. Joey’s coaching emphasises creativity and fluid movement, helping students build a modern game that excels in dynamic situations.
Coach Amber
Purple belt, 6 years training
Amber is a Pan Champion, national champion and high-level competitor with a background in professional superfights for organisations like M16 and WNG.
Her approach prioritises technical positioning and hyper-mobility, using flexibility and precise wedging to create effective set-ups and transitions through a structured methodology. With four years of experience coaching both kids and adults, she excels at breaking down techniques into clear, repeatable systems that students can apply with confidence.
